This is “Goptcha!” a machine-looking font I designed, that the machines are possibly going to have a hard time trying to make sense of!
Designed for the typophile type-battle ‘Man-Vs-Machine’ to create a font for ‘captcha’, something that a human can read but a mahine cannot.

[ RECYCLOCK   it’s time to recycle! ]

"The amount of electronic products discarded globally has skyrocketed recently, with 20-50 million tonnes generated every year. " - from greenpeace.org

It’s time for us to warm up to the reality - Our electronic waste needs to be recycled. Its not that we don’t care, its just that we need a constant reminder to this problem. Like any other habit, a sustainable lifestyle also needs to be cultivated with time.
This clock, made using discarded CD-Drives with virtually no alterations, reminds us with every tick, of the rising need to recycle and reduce our carbon footprint.
So let us all get wise - clockwise!

"When you(and me) point a camera and click a "Typical Great Photograph", we are telling stories from that poor little man’s personal life!. Who the hell are we to do that? It’s not a story about ‘someone’. It’s the story about that particular person in the photograph!. An individual’s story! Obviously without his permission!"

-From my blogpost, “Clickable Mumbai - Photographer’s Eldorado

The most interesting factor of this product is nothing but its bloody simplicity that anyone could’ve thought of it. I’m sure… people must’ve!

I first made this product by accident way back in 2007 (or 2006?) when I was fiddling around with that junk CD drive that I got from a junk collector’s truck in IIT. And from that day, this piece just remained on my desk.

Well, it’s time. Soon you’ll be able to buy it online right from this site or from some design store… let me see. But there’s always a better option; you can make it yourself!!!

Unlucky Designers! Rare coincidences are NOT so rare!
“I’ve seen this idea before!… this guy must’ve copied it from that one!" How many times you’ve thought like this looking at an idea?

This blog post talks about my concerns on similar ideas floating in the interwebs where we can’t really say whether it’s an original or a copy! Times have changed.

"When we were in Politecnico, weekends had never been some days to sit idle and relax… they had always been hectic… travelling… and experiencing europe!"
"One fine day, we all decided to plan a trip to Paris…  and this is the story of what happened there after and how we even ended up spending one night in the streets of some remote area in the outskirts of Paris!"
I had been trying to capture at least a tiny amount of the great times we had there… and of course unsuccessful. But still, I’d love to share our experience there.. check out my Europe trip blog at indimilano.blogspot.com
